Taichung to Taipei - Thanks for the big surprise!

A few must-go places in Taichung such as The Old England Manor and CingJing Farm are the places we visited during my bff Taiwan trip. For those who love to explore to the nature, this is definitely worth a visit. I got tanned during my Taiwan trip as the sun was high up hanging in the sky. A twisty mountain road to these places, so make sure that you are fine with it or otherwise get your medicine ready to avoid carsickness. I felt nausea on my way down from the mountain, perhaps it depends on the driver's driving skill.

Hello Taiwan 2016! Taichung FengJia Night Market (逢甲夜市)

Let's grab your bff for a trip when you need to recharge! I'm happy I did it. I've embarked on my bff trip to Taiwan with these gorgeous people - Kaya, Carmen, Samantha & Stephanie. Thanks to Samantha who planned the trip for us as I was busy for the past two months. Our first night in Taiwan was food hunting and non-stop shopping in Taichung FengJia night market. All of the girls insanely love the place as things are cheap and in trend!

We seriously regret we've brought a lot of outfits for our trip, but ended up all of us were conquering the night market with a lot of goods back to our hotel room. Haha! And guess what? New outfits every day while travelling. For all ladies who plan to go to Taiwan, bring less as you'll somehow buy more here.

What to buy in Taiwan ?

I got a few email recently asking what to buy in Taiwan. Taiwan, obviously a shopping heaven for most of us and these are the things that I usually buy during my Taiwan trip. Sharing is Caring! ( Taichung ) A place you won't miss ~ FengJia Night Market ~ 逢甲夜市

Fengjia night market is one of the more popular ones in Taiwan. Located within close proximity to Fengjia University, it is where most youths gather. With students making up the majority of customers, prices are comparatively better than that of Taipei’s. This, and the huge variety of local snacks on offer makes a real pleasure to be jostling amongst the crowd. Though not as vibrant as one might find Taipei, Taichung has its lures and is definitely worth at least 1 visit.

How to go to Fengjia night market from Taichung Station?
Bus 35, directly go to Fengjia night market and it takes about an hour. If you have more than 2 pax you may just take cab to save time.

( Taipei ) One day in Ximending + Shida Market + Spicy steamboat buffet

Ximending, is one of the landmark that you don't want to miss during your first Taipei trip. Frankly speaking, I'm not into this place as it is obviously a place for tourist and things is slightly expensive selling here compare to the night market. I can see myself more enjoy in the night market .

How to get there?
Take the subway- Blue line to Ximen station and Exit 6

( Taichung ) Carton King ~ Everything made by Carton !! 台中大坑紙箱王

A cute Carton Robot that look similar as my Danbo >v<  .. I went to this Carton King (紙箱王) located in Taichung nearby to Moncoeur Garden . I will say this a cute place to go but not a big place to visit. You will definitely enjoy in their Carton King restaurant as all the things made by paper and carton , the food are delicious too. ^^

( Taichung ) Yizhong Street ~ Yizhong night market 台中一中街 （一中商圈 ）

Yizhong street 一中街 , a day and night market whereby most of the fashions stores gathered. Look at the crowd =.= I can't really enjoy here and regret that came here on Saturday. A lots of fashion boutiques and clothing stores here but the road and junctions are super narrow. Maybe i'm getting old and therefore I couldn't stay in the crowd for long time. After a 40minutes walked in Yizhong street, i straight took a cab and go back to my Fengjia night market. And I realised Fengjia is still my preferred place to spend my evening time in Taichung.

( Taichung ) Fun Photos at 3D Fantasy Horizon^^ 奇幻異視界~台中世貿3D幻視藝術展

   

I was so excited for the 3D Fantasy Horizon during my Taichung trip. I took a cab from Fengjia University to Taichung World Trade Center and cost me about TWD$150 which is consider cheap for a fifteen minute's ride. You can also use google map to route the way if you travel alone by bus.

( Taichung ) Moncoeur ~ the Garden of Happiness ~ 心之芳庭 :::愛與幸福的莊園

A lovely place called Moncoeur  ( 心之芳庭 ) located in Taichung, Taiwan. It's located far from the Taichung City but meanwhile, the air is so fresh as the plants surrounding you in this garden. If you love to take photo like me , you will Love here for sure.  ^^

( Taipei ) Recommended Hostel in Taipei ~ 100% satisfied with Fox House Hostel 狐狸小窩

I found this super cute and lovely hostel in Taipei before my trip. The rooms are so attractive and the most important thing is ... I don't need to pay any deposit for booking.Thanks to the Lady boss, Fiona , she trust me ^^  I believe most of the people find the hostels online and they need you to pay for the deposit first via bank transfer or Paypal. Some people like me may not really comfortable with these payment method which cost a lot of service charges. 

The Lady boss, Fiona is so Friendly and Pretty !!   <3   She prepared everything and reserved the room for me after i confirmed the booking. The room is totally the same as the picture, and the room is so new and well maintained. Honestly , you don't need to prepare anything to stay in this room as they provide everything . 

All the picture here are from the standard room that I stayed and honestly it is just nice, not too small not too big. They have a bigger room good for 2-5 pax, do check with Fiona if you need a bigger one.

( Taiwan - Part 6 ) 18SX !! 饒河夜市 RaoHe Night market ~

I visited to Rao He Night market the day before i went back to SG~ This is a traditional night market in Taipei .People sitting beside the street and eating their street food. Rao He night market located right beside a big temple..   I remembered there was a Game running on that day, Simply get a map from the information counter and collect 2 stamps and you will earn NTD$50 to spend in the night market. But i didn't participate lolx..  

How to go to RaoHe night market?    怎麼去饒河夜市

火車：可搭火車至松山車站，由後火車站下車，可抵達
Train: To SongShan Station

捷運：搭捷運板南線至後山埤站，由中坡北路步行約10分鐘，可抵達。

Taipei MRT: to HouShanBi Station and follow by Zhongbo Bei Lu and walk about 10 minutes

( Taiwan - Part 5 ) 九份 Jiu Fen The Old street ~ I found a special snack in Taiwan

First time been JiuFen, the old street in Taipei. JiuFen located at the mountainside far from Taipei city, I took almost one hour to reach there by direct bus in ZhongXiaoFuXin. I did some research before i go.

Heard about the famous peanut + ice cream wrap in JiuFen from a Korean Forum. lolx..

And I found that , a lot of Korean, Japanese and Western traveled to Taiwan like us .. the South East asian ...  >v<

How to go JiuFen?  怎麼去九份

1) Taipei MRT to ZhongXiaoFuXin station and follow by Exit 1.

2) Direct bus "基隆客運"  From Taipei  >  RuiFang  >  JiuFen  >  JinGuaSha

( Taiwan - Part 4 ) 師大夜市 ShiDa Night market ~ walking in the Rain ~

I love this so much ! Feel like those photos from the Taiwan's blogger...
I fall in love with the store's design ... Exactly what i want for my own store in Future .. ( hopefully I will have my own one ... one day Perhaps   >.<'' )  This is from ShiDa circle ~ 師大商圈

ShiDa is a famous university in Taipei, a lot of students and teenagers here, therefore the shops and street markets gathered at the same place near the University. I like the store's design and the fashion here..  Looks trendy and young~ Most of the stores selling Korean fashion. ( Yes, Korea leading the Trend nowadays... and I totally into it ^^ )

( Taiwan - Part 3 ) Shilin night market's street food collection ~

Ah-Chung Mian Sian 阿宗麵線 is the most memorable food for me in Taipei ~

I stayed 9 days in Taipei 2years ago, and i ate this every night ... ahahahhaa ~

I saw the people standing outside the store, holding the hot noodle under the sun in Ximending ...

Love their super Spicy chili sauce ... usually i put a small spoon of it into the noodle..

It is so Great~!  Must try ~ !!

People who eat this with their first time have the feeling of : "hmmm, not bad la... so so la... "

but don't know the reason why , after a day or a few day , you will definitely Miss it !!

hot noodle ~ 

( Taiwan - Part 2 ) Shilin Night market ~~~ 士林夜市走透透

I Went to shilin night market on my first night .. A must Go place for me every time I travel to Taipei ...

 ( went here  quite some times .. )  Discovered a lot of Unique food and stalls.

Shilin night market is a great place for Street foods and shopping ~~ 

hehe, able to eat a lot of special finger food and able to find a lot of trendy stuff here

I enjoyed to look around and  keep checking on the Stall's banner..

Walked non stop for 3 hours in Shilin night market ~ 

Took their Subway to JianTan station (劍潭）, not shilin station ( people always confused about this )

I took MRT all the way from my home to the Airport ~

T2 > Shuttle Bus > Budget Terminal ~
