Erno Laszlo Skincare Review

Our skin tends to change with the weather, especially for us who stay in a humid country like Singapore and Malaysia.  To maintain a perfectly clean and balanced complexion, what you can do for your skin is as simple as washing your face! Then keep it hydrated.

Background:

Erno Laszlo himself was a dermatological visionary with a colorful history. Way back in 1927 in his native Hungary, Laszlo caused a commotion by introducing a skincare ritual involving splashing with soap and water instead of the here-to-then accepted use of cold cream to cleanse the skin. It was practically scandalous, but he healed the skin of Belgium’s Princess Stephanie and opened his first Institute of Scientific Cosmetology. Later, a move to the U.S. had Dr. Laszlo an early Hollywood hero with clients from Greta Garbo to—years later—Marilyn Monroe. He soon opened a U.S. Institute on Fifth Avenue in New York City with an elite, referral-only clientele including Jackie Kennedy. It wasn’t until 1962 that the famous Dr. Laszlo had a retail line.

This non-comedogenic pre-cleansing oil claims to dissolve trapped oils, impurities, and make-up to promote cleaner, healthier-looking skin with the use of essential oils and anti-inflammatory botanical extracts from India. The conditioning lather this oil creates is said to maximise the cleansing process and improve the epidermal barrier. The Erno Laszlo pHelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil includes a blend of mineral and plant oils, which dissolve make-up and can be beneficial for dry to very dry skin.

When applied to the skin, the Erno Laszlo pHelityl Pre-Cleansing Oil feels much thicker compared to most cleansing oils and really works at lifting and removing make-up and dirt. Due to the oil being much more viscous, it's certainly a "pre-cleanse only" product, requiring a second cleanse to clean the skin thoroughly. I found it lived up to its claims by easily and quickly dissolving make-up, removing trapped dirt and impurities, and prepping the skin for a second cleanse.

Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar - it exfoliates your skin to leave it looking soft, supple and smooth. This soap draws out toxins and other pollutants which as a result unclog your pores to reveal younger, healthier looking skin. Fine grains within the mud boost the cleansing benefits, sloughing away any dead skin cells, dirt particles and impurities on skin’s surface, revealing the radiance beneath. This soap came out 75 years ago and has been a favorite of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Greta Garbo, Madonna, and Uma Thurman. The Dead Sea mud and charcoal powder pull oil and dirt out of pores like a magnet.

This bar feels really good quality and comes in a very handy dish, which you will need. It is an excellent cleanser and gives you that squeaky clean feeling without drying out your skin! I have normal, dehydrated skin and I was so impressed that this cleansing bar helps to improve the appearance of problematic skin, removing redness and reducing on blackheads.

Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Refresh Infusion Hydra-Essence Review
This silky serum is super-light, but a triple-threat. It works on three levels of skin to preserve precious moisture. With super-hydrators and water-protecting probiotics, it instantly soothes, smoothes and plumps skin, helping reverse the damage that dryness can do.

I fancy the texture of this essence and it absorbs to my skin in a second without leaving any stickiness of feeling. I've been using this for a month and I love it.

Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Memory Sleep Mask Review
The mask has a unique texture, the formulation of which is based on memory foam developed for the NASA space program. It is a weightless gel that cushions the skin and restores elasticity while you sleep. I love this texture! It’s like a mix between jelly and blancmange! You scoop it out and it makes a dent, then when you go back to it, it is all smooth and level again. Magic! It deeply moisturising and hydrating and gives my skin a noticeable bounce the next morning. This literally melts into my skin and I can feel it drinking it up. I have used it alone but I also love it as the last step in my night time skincare regime to lock in and super charge all the goodness from serums, oils and moisturisers. I have been using it 1-2 times per week to combat dehydration.

The Hollywood Collection is a real treat, and my only worry is that I am now addicted to the products without having the Hollywood paycheck to support this habit. It’s holiday season, and that means celebrations, events and looking your most gorgeous, glowing best. Before the party, after the night out and all season long, it’s all about prepping, treating and nourishing your skin so you radiate with a refreshed, youthful glow. If ever there was a time to take your skincare routine to the next level, this is it!

Erno Laszlo dates back to the 1970s and still they produce the best skin care products you could find in the market. Great to see they have not declined in terms of quality in products.
